The Scottish Junior Chess Association Educational Trust is registered as a charity (SC010264) with the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR) and with HMRC. We welcome donations from individuals, legacies and corporate entities. Individual donations can be made online, in cash, or by cheque (payable to SJCA Educational Trust), or they can be made through an employer Payroll Giving Scheme.

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation at no extra cost to yourself. Under Gift Aid rules, if you complete a donor "declaration", the Trust can reclaim 25p of the tax you pay for every £1 you donate. If you pay tax above the basic rate, you can claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation. You can do this either through your Self Assessment tax return or by asking HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to amend your tax code.

If you donate through the Payroll Giving Scheme, tax is automatically included at your highest rate, and no further action is required.

You can donate online through the Charities Aid Foundation, and you can opt to Gift Aid your donation.

The Wonderful website is preferred as they do not charge commission.
